Great Sermon! "Hold fast the form of sound words, which thou hast heard of me, in faith and love which is in Christ Jesus." (II Timothy 1:13)
Not only should churches have a creed, every church and every Christian does, in fact, have one. The creed may be good or bad, written down or merely held in the mind, but even the statement, "No creed but the Bible," is a statement of belief, and therefore a creed. Creeds provide a summary of what a church believes the Bible teaches and are therefore necessary to a church's testimony. They are also useful as an aid in instructing Christians in biblical truth. Yes! Churches should have creeds! |

Wonderful Sermon! The glory of Jesus Christ is revealed to us in His transfiguration, recorded in Mark, Chapter 9. Look unto Him for salvation that you might know and enjoy Him in all His glory forever in heaven! Truly, He is all the glory of Heaven!
"The Bride eyes not her garment,
But her dear Bridegroom's face,
I will not gaze at glory,
But on my King of Grace,
Not at the crown He gifteth,
But on His piercèd hand,
The Lamb is all the glory
Of Immanuel's land!"
Last Words, a poem inspired by the letters and last words of Samuel Rutherford. |
