Common Sense Common sense is not really so common. The reason for that is that there is a great neglect of the Creator of the world, His revelation to man and the power He built into the world. Unless we come to see the world as God sees it we will endanger ourselves or at least face a variety of troubles. It was Joseph’s common sense in Egypt that led Pharaoh to say that there was no one so wise and discerning as Joseph in all Egypt. But Joseph had that common sense because of his relationship to the Lord God. Does this mean that those who do not trust in the Lord Jesus Christ cannot come up with any good idea or invention? Of course not. Just as God sends rain on and give sunshine to the righteous and the wicked alike, so He gives the ability to think for the benefit of mankind. But true common sense affects all of life, even into eternity. To increase your wisdom and knowledge you need to fear the Lord. That is, you need to acknowledge Him in His awesome glory—His omnipotence and omniscience—and to live 24/7 under His authority. We want all to have this common sense and to learn to see the world as the Creator sees it. Listen to this sermon to find how you can have this common sense
