Intro: In the first message on Isaiah 43, I alluded to the fact that physical deliverance leads us to remember how God blesses us spiritually. Using very similar promises and structure, the Lord promises to forgive the sins of His people. We will consider God's free grace in His promise to blot out our transgressions and to no long remember our sins.

Conclusion: Consider the promise that God blots out our sins and will not remember them. He speaks in a legal way to say that He has taken away our guilt through Jesus. This is the point of Heb 10, quoting Jeremiah 31 and the New Covenant, and the promise that He will not remember our sins. This happens because Jesus Christ, the mediator of the New Covenant has laid down His life for us. He is our forgiveness, the sacrifice that satisfies God's justice. Because of this, we can remember that He has put away our sins as far away as east is from the west. We can remember that He has acted to bring us behind the veil, before the throne of grace. We can remember that Jesus's body and blood were given for us. We can remember that He will not remember our sins.
