Pontius Pilot sent Jesus to Herod Antipas the Tetrarch after learning that Christ was from Galilee under the jurisdiction of Herod. Only Luke records the account of the humiliation and sufferings experienced at the hands of Herod. Herod had desired to see Jesus perform some kind of a miracle out of curiosity or for entertainment. The Lord refused to speak or answer Herod's questions arousing his anger leading to humiliation at the hands of Herod and his men.
