After Abraham's foray into Egypt lessons were learned and he returns to where he started and worshiped the Lord. Abraham was ready for separation. The reason for separation was the new land but became untenable for both Abraham and Lot due to dwindling resources. Abraham allows Lot to choose a new location for expansion and so the land is further defined. Lot's decision is poor even though logical. God is sovereign to bring forth a savior through the Moabites. OUr application is to keep the land (God's eternal glory) as your focus and feast on the many blessings that promote our faith.
