Preaching on Genesis 50:20 - 'But as for you, you meant it for evil, but God meant it for good....., Rev Quigley deals in this sermon with those times in our lives when we are in utter turmoil and we don't know which way to turn. Those occasions when, events or circumstances have robbed us of the peace and joy in life.
- He spells out very clearly the truth of God's sovereignty, leaving us in no doubt that God is in absolute authority over everything. Including the evil activities of man.
- He reminds us that God is good and that everything He does, is good. There is nothing that God does which is not good.
- He then calls us to trust in God, because God is in absolute control and because God's plan and purpose for our lives is always good.

Just what I needed... Thank you so much for posting this sermon. I broke into tears two and a half minutes into it. My life does feel like it is falling apart right now. All the things I keep reminding myself--God is good to me, God is sovereign, even the evil is ordained of God, and the such--were all mentioned in this sermon. Sometimes it's just good to hear it come from someone else. When I saw this sermon posted as the featured sermon for today, I knew it was placed there for me. Praise God!

Great Sermon! Dear Mr. Quigley:
Just being diagnosed with melanoma cancer my life feels like it fell apart. Thank you for reminding me through Joseph and his brothers that God is soverign and all of this will turn out for his glory. What a blessing to me this night. As I set down to the computer and brought up SermonAudio.com I prayed "Father give me a sermon tonight to give me peace." I have many family members and friends who do not know the Lord Jesus as their Savior and I have been praying for sometime now for them, I know that God is using this for our good and his glory. It dosen't come any better than that. May God continue to bless others through the preaching of the word.

Does your religion work when things go wrong? The health and wealth gospel of today sounds good and attracts a lot of crowds, but what does it mean to someone when everything has gone wrong? That's where the modern easy-believing, man-centered religion where you can get God to do things for you out of obligation to what you've said with your mouth totally breaks down. This sermon talks about a true gospel, a rock to build your life on. I encourage people caught up in today's shallow religion to listen to this. You can find something deep and solid to rely on in the difficult times.
