Idea: God promises to preserve His people though the world falls in judgment. He will preserve His people through the coming of Christ and the establishment of His kingdom in the hearts of men.
Intro: Isaiah chapters 24-27 bring a close to the prophecies about Judah and the nations surrounding. Some Christians have applied this to the second coming of Christ, calling it "Isaiah's Apocalypse." Verses 20-23 definitely speak of the coming of Christ, and the rest of the chapter speaks of a great judgment. But it also speaks of the revival of the church, a remnant being preserved and gathered together from the nations. So we conclude that this passage refers not to Christ's Second Coming, but His First, and the establishment of His kingdom in the hearts of men.
