Heart righteousness in a life directed to the Father may seem to be unrealistic, but it is a heavenly realism. As Jesus taught us that our lives are to be lived for the Father, and to be lived to the Father, so we are then kept in the Father's care. He teaches us to trust in what is permanent, not temporary. So, it is realistic to seek first the kingdom and our Father's righteousness because all the rest will be added to us. In His care, doubt, fear, and anxiety are all to be banished. Here lies true happiness. Seeking our security by any other means is worldliness. |
