May the Lord fill us with His Spirit that we may praise Him with our whole heart. As we come to the preaching of His Word in the book of Ruth, we are introduced to a new character in the story who is Boaz. Boaz becomes the main character in this story not because of who he is, though he is a godly man. He is the main character because of who he represents. In Boaz we have a type of Christ and the work of redemption. The Spirit is putting Boaz before us now that we may keep our eyes on him and in so doing that we may see the Person of Jesus Christ, our only Redeemer. |
