Sermon Point: Seek prophetic preparation for heaven!
Outline:
1. God's enemies often use government to oppose the progress of the church (Vs. 14, 4:1-5, 4:24, 5:1-6).
2. In this case, the king's decree stands (vs. 14, 6:1-3, 6-8).
3. In such cases, you must see God's command in these wonderful works of providence (vs. 14, Isaiah 45:1-4).
4. God's prophets confirm God's command concerning the work of the church (Vs. 14, Zech. 8:9, Haggai 1:7-8).
5. The people, as instruments in God's hands, complete the building through preaching (Vs. 14).
6. Remember, we are the temple of the living God being prepared for residence in heaven through preaching (Vs. 14). |
