What's your view on the subject of tithing?

Personally I believe tithing is an old testament teaching that should not be "required" as many churches preach it...

However, I do believe we should give as we feel led by the Holy Spirit to do so. The Lord loves a cheerful giver, one that does not feel obligated but rather gives because they want to.

This topic is one reason I tend to hate these "money preachers"... that say the reason we don't have is because we didn't plant a large enough seed with their "ministry"... God gives us based on our needs & blesses those who have been good stewards with what they have.

I voted yes, however I believe that each one of us spreads the Gospel according to the talents and skills we have been given by our Lord...
There are many many ways to preach the true Gospel besides in the public street, such as online forums, game communities, social bookmarking sites such as Digg.com, Myspace, Youtube.com, etc... as well as just being the "salt of the earth"...through our actions, people see Jesus.
Most of us are called to plant seeds, while some are called to harvest - No matter the duty, Glory be to God we are building His Kingdom!

While Bush, taxes, war, etc... remain the hot topics of the day... the truth of matter is that these are just small attributes of a much bigger picture!
NewsFlash --- The world is ruled by Satan, not our Lord at the moment, that being said do you really think "our governments" our trying to help us or destroy us?
Much bigger picture people...
