DB, Im not sure how this relates to women wearing pants. Are you for or against this practice?oz,
If I were to wear long johns, underneath a skirt it is to keep me warm just like panty hose, it is not to dress like a man on the outside where the world see's. Anyway, I have never condemned you or said I was better then you, and I dont think others are. But you seem to be reacting rather unrational. For me this is personal conviction, because I feel that women should be different in dress then men, and women always wore dresses before the feminist movement... God says that it is an abomination for women to wear what is men's apparel. And 70 years ago this was men's apparel was. Now we have nazi feminists who cut there hair, including ALOT of other women like mens and wear mens clothing.  I dont think its right to blur the lines, because when you blur the lines in dress your really showing what your heart is about the roles of men and women. Maybe Im being extreme, but this is the fruit of it. |

Ah ok. Nah what I meant by that comment, maybe I should be quiet now, had nothing to do with me speaking outside of the church, it had to do with letting people be ignorant, if any man be ignorant let him be ignorant. I didnt think I was really letting people be ignorant, so thats why I closed with that. I agree with you, and have read your other posts, getting a bit riled up there, God Bless,Alicia |

AMEN mgarsteck,Definatly we need to research what we are reading, know that there are false teachers out there, we dont wrestle against flesh and blood, and when you read false doctrine in a book its like putting a little bit of rat poisin into a loaf of bread, like the NIV this is our spiritual food man. What was this thread about again? oh yeah, women pastors, anybody who disagrees and says that women can be clearly dont listen to the Bibles teachings nor think that it is still valid for this generation. The Bible actually says you are ignornat. Here: 1Co 14:34 Let your women keep silence in the churches: for it is not permitted unto them to speak; but they are commanded to be under obedience, as also saith the law.
1Co 14:35 And if they will learn any thing, let them ask their husbands at home: for it is a shame for women to speak in the church.
1Co 14:36 What? came the word of God out from you? or came it unto you only?
1Co 14:37 If any man think himself to be a prophet, or spiritual, let him acknowledge that the things that I write unto you are the commandments of the Lord.
1Co 14:38 But if any man be ignorant, let him be ignorant. Commandments of the Lord!  And maybe I should just be quiet now... |

yeah fair enough, when you start to think about wearing long skirts only, its just down the road from a headcovering conviction, i tell you from experience. Ozmilad, Yes I have worn a skirt in -40 degree weather. If you feel convicted to do it, you will, and the cold aint going to stop you. Ive heard so many reasons why you shouldnt wear a skirt. Including getting arthritis from the cold. Get a wool skirt, and wear some long johns. When its not practical, dont, I dont wear a skirt to the gym, but I also dont go to a co-ed gym. If your going to look at a girls butt, is it going to be in jeans or a loose skirt. I find some of mens pants immodest!! lol. Especially jogging pants  hehe |

Hello. Well actually in the immediate family is Newfie and Nova Scotian, but from ancestry Austrian. Yeah, I serve in the nursery, with the newborns. As well I work in a Christian Bookstore www.Christtheway.ca Dont worry not a "eccumenical comprimized" bookstore . Sorry If Ive offended anyone. Do you serve in the Church, and another, what are you getting a masters degree for? For your own self gratification or a ministry of some sort. hehe, Im not even going to try to get back on topic.bedtime now, ok ill at least try. It does seem that there are alot of single men and women in our churches, and have often wondered myself, well why dont people hook up. One guy had to go on the internet (christian cafe) and get a girl from pensylvania. People are sort of odd in church anyway, like in a personal way. I find most dont like to reach out, its a see you on sunday thing but not a get to be friends with everybody thing. Is this just me thinking this way? |
