But God showed Habakkuk His sovereignty and brought the Chaldeans against His people. Then He also told of the curses He would bring on the sinful nations. Finally Habakkuk submitted to the sovereign working of God with the knowledge that the just live by faith. We are to rest in the Lord knowing that the just live by faith both in coming to Him for salvation and in continuing in Him to eternity.
