The complacency of the people of Judah called forth God's judgment when they acted like God would do neither good nor bad toward them. Zephaniah told of the reality of the Day of Judgment but also of the restoration Christ would bring for those who repent of their sins. He also calls us to repentance doing away with complacent attitudes toward the Lord and learning holiness and humility.
