The promised Messiah is anointed with God's Spirit in order to bring about God's promised atonement.

1. The Messiah brings his people into the heavenly temple.
2. The Messiah establishs his people as a golden lampstand, justified by grace and set as a light to the world.
3. The Messiah fulfills Zechariah's promise of 'two sons of oil.' He is the consumate priest and king.
