“ Great Sermon! ”
Timeless truth for the Church of God... Excellent message.

Anonymous Name (10/20/2019)
“ Great People Are Not Always Wise ”
Even Elihu in Job 32:9 realized that great people are not always wise. This sermon clearly shows this.

Anonymous Name (4/11/2019)
“ Accolades Do Not Matter ”
This sermon defeats any worldly notion of prestige. The obvious fact is that accolades like Olympic medals do not matter, yet the world treats such things as if they matter when they do not. It is important to remember 1 Timothy 6:7 in times like these. At birth, people bring nothing into the world and at death, people carry nothing out of the world.

Anonymous Name (6/9/2018)
“ The Deadly Idol of Prestige ”
The pursuit of respectability and prestige is idolatry of the heart. That is why John Calvin warned that the human heart is a factory of idols. The idol of prestige ultimately destroys the lives of those who pursuit it.

Unspecified name (1/25/2018)
“ Being proud of nothing! ”
It is better to be proud of nothing, lest our foolish pride get the better of us. Being "proud" of something is sinful pride. The voice from Heaven recorded in Matthew 3:17 referred to His Beloved Son in whom He is well pleased. The voice from Heaven did not say that He was "proud" of His Son, but that He was well pleased with His Son. Being well pleased with something is not the same as being "proud" of something.

Unspecified name (1/23/2018)
“ Wisdom vs. prestige ”
Suffering, agony, and humiliation are the biggest fears of the prestigious because they will experience such things sooner or later. Remember Proverbs 16:18.

Unspecified name (1/22/2018)
“ Prestige-the shortcut to foolishness ”
The desire and pursuit of prestige is mere foolishness and worldliness. The world image of prestige is reflected in academia (P.h.D) and pro sports (Olympic medals, and championship titles). Remember the sobering warning of 1 John 2:15-17. Enough said.

Unspecified name (12/2/2017)
“ Great Sermon! ”
It is rather frustrating when people openly showcase their prestige. However, those who value prestige, fear losing it through suffering agony. We know that agony is the greatest fear of the prestigious. We must not forget the following quote from the Heroic Protestant Reformer John Calvin and his pearls of wisdom. You must submit to supreme suffering in order to discover the completion of joy. -John Calvin
