When we think of the great Apostles like Paul, Peter, or John, we think it's only right that the Kingdom of God belongs to people like that. But is it true that the Kingdom of God also belongs to little children? Jesus says yes!
The most loving thing a parent can do to their children is to bring them to Someone Who cares for their souls.
Sadly, there are some who are still like the disciples in Jesus' day, and they try to keep the children away from Jesus and out of the Church. No wonder, then, that the Church is losing more and more children every passing generation.
Jesus was angry at this. This is not how His Kingdom operates. Jesus cares for children and loves them; He has chosen them to be a part of His Covenant. Yes, they sin like everyone else, and they need the grace of Christ like everyone else. But they belong to the Lord and we want their faith to bloom fully from the little bud to the full blossom.
Never give up on your children! Come to Christ with the humility and faith of a child, for the Kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these – and bring your children with you to Him! |
