Here in Exodus 24 we have the ratification of the covenant at Sinai. There is a supper with God. Moses and all the elders sat down at table with the Lord of the Covenant. All had been sprinkled in the blood of the covenant. Moses pronounced these words: "This is the blood of the covenant." When Jesus institutes the Lord's Supper, He repeats those words and we are to pronounce them today:"This is My blood of the new covenant poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins."
