An additional benefit of the outworking of justification is the love of God for sinners. Jesus died for ungodly sinners to accomplish reconciliation that they may attain their highest purpose of this life. Out of the love of God through Christ, sinners are justified, and we are to hold onto that love through faith.
The ungodly are fundamentally unable to save themselves or to change their circumstances before God. Man is spiritually dead due to sin lacking all ability to please the Lord, and Christ died for those who despise him. The love of God is effectual in reconciling the ungodly saving them from His wrath. More than providing propitiation the reconciliation of Christ brings assurance of salvation to the believer assurance that they are in-grafted into Christ. Reconciliation makes it possible for man to achieve his chief end namely that man would rejoice in God and enjoy his affections forever, but this reconciliation is only possible through Christ. Christ calls his people to drink from his living water, and those that enjoy his favor are called to glory in him always.
