The prophetical parts of Scripture are commonly the most misunderstood, and the teaching concerning the second coming of Christ and the events which surround it are no exception. It is all too easy for us to imbibe thoughts and ideas which seem to have a Scriptural basis and yet which, with close inspection, are erroneous. This address brings together the Scriptural evidence for Christ’s return and what shall attend it. It further helps us to understand some basic rules of Scripture interpretation, namely that the clear passages are to be studied first and then the more obscure interpreted in the light of them.
