This year sees the 400th anniversary of the Authorised Version of the Bible in English. Many singular and remarkable instances have marked its rise, progress, completion and proclammation. Such attendant blessings and favours ought to be seriously considered and appreciated by the church to whom the Lord gives His Word.
The unique qualities of the Authorised Version are looked at in this address, considering both the historical advantages afforded by God's gracious providence surrounding its formation, and also the calibre of the translation itself - surpassing any other translation in the English language for accuracy and reliability.
