“ Great Sermon! ” Don't be fooled, behind the seeming civility of some unbelievers lurks a heart which hates Jesus Christ just as much as those who are the most outwardly hostile to Him.
“ Great Sermon! ” It is astonishing to observe how the unregenerate will cut their noses off to spite their faces, rejecting the Lord Jesus and His truth in order to pursue destructive courses. The explanation for their behaviour is given to us: "And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved." (John 3:19-20)
“ Sobering sermon ” Those who walk in the ways of God, who take God’s word seriously and becoming more like Christ will be persecuted. No servant is above his master. If Christ was persecuted because they hated His message, we will be persecuted. As salt, we are stinging to those living in sin.
“ Excellent Sermon! ” Soundly refutes two common pretenses: 1.) That those who believe the Gospel do so because they are in some way morally superior to those who do not believe. 2.) That those who reject the Gospel do so because they are too intellectually honest to believe.
“ Great Sermon! ” Denying reality avails nothing,and all those who deny Christ will one day be compelled to bow the knee to Him who is our Prophet, Priest and King.
“ Great Sermon! ” This sermon exalts our Almighty, faithful Covenant keeping God, and His Christ, giving joyful hope in and such wondrous love and adoration for Him.
Thank You, Lord for Your Holy Spirit inspired, inerrant, infallible Word,
and gifting men to faithfully preach it.🙌❤
“ Great Sermon! ” Although afflicted by Peter's betrayal, Christ reinstated Peter and lifted him up. "The LORD is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit." (Psalm 34:18) What a wonderful Saviour!
“ Great Sermon! ” The crying need of our time is a thorough Reformation wrought in the hearts of our people by the Holy Spirit: "Oh that thou wouldest rend the heavens, that thou wouldest come down, that the mountains might flow down at thy presence...." (Isaiah 64:1 KJV)
“ Great Sermon! ” Men may deny the deity of Christ now, but the Day is coming in which they will no longer be able to insult Him as ordinary: "Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father." Phil. 2:9-11
“ WCC: Anti-Capital Punishment ” It is rather disturbing how apostate church organizations like the World Council of Churches and the Roman Catholic Church are lobbying against capital punishment. When churches lobby against capital punishment, they cheapen human life. Our Protestant Reformers like Martin Luther and John Calvin supported capital punishment as mandated by Scripture. Also worth noting Romans 13:1-14 in regards to capital punishment.
“ Great Sermon! ” "...Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood..." (Revelation 1:5b)
We can not fathom the holiness and justice of God and His wrath against sin, nor can we fathom the immense love of Jesus Christ which led Him to bear that wrath on behalf of sinners. What a wonderful Saviour!
