A Solemn Warning! Jesus Christ, the Savior of sinners, warned about Hell more than any other person in the Bible, yet many deny its reality. Do not be deceived: Hell is a place of conscious and everlasting punishment. All who do not turn from their sin and receive the salvation which was purchased by Christ on the cross will go there, and there shall be no escape. But, "whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved."
Romans 10:13
Great Sermon! What proof do you need to believe in Jesus Christ? Unbelief hides behind "intellectual" objections to the Gospel, but the truth is that it is a change of heart which is necessary. Only when God renews the heart does the sinner come to true faith and repentance! May God give us all a new heart to believe in His only begotten Son.
Great Sermon! Who will go to heaven, and when? What will it really be like? And how can we prepare to go there with joy? We have many questions about Heaven, and this sermon answers them from the Scriptures. Truly, "Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him." I Corinthians 2:9
Great Sermon! How can you be truly blessed? Blessed by God, with forgiveness in this life and eternal life to follow? By heeding the words of Jesus Himself, "...blessed are they that hear the word of God, and keep it." (Luke 11:28) If we hear the Word of God and then do not keep it, then we have a false hope which will not provide blessedness, but rather a curse! Listen to the Word of God, seek after the Lord Jesus Christ and "...be doers of the word and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves." James 1:22
Great Sermon! Are you under the rod of affliction for your sin? Do you feel imprisoned, as if you cannot escape, no matter which way you turn? Sin brings affliction from God, yet under his affliction Jeremiah could say, "The LORD is my portion, saith my soul; therefore will I hope in him." (Lamentations 3:24) A Christian may always hope in the Lord, even when walking in darkness for a season, for God is a God of great mercy and compassion. "It is of the LORD'S mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not." (Lamentations 3:22)
Outstanding Sermon! A very informative sermon about the devil: his origin, names, present position, his power and how God limits his power, his activity, and his certain damnation. This sermon also offers a much needed caution against ascribing to the devil more power than he really possesses on the one hand, and against trivializing his power on the other. Praise God that although the devil is a powerful enemy, he is also a defeated enemy through Jesus Christ our Lord!
Great Sermon! Revelatory. I think this sermon just changed my millennial position. So much information powerfully presented. I need to listen to it again.
Great Sermon! People may try many means of deliverance, but only find themselves in
greater bondage. True and lasting deliverance only comes through having Christ in you. One manifestation of having Christ in you is that you long for Him to be glorified and for the growth of His kingdom. Is Christ in you?
Excellent Sermon! What do "angels desire to look into," and what makes them rejoice? There are many misconceptions about angels, but this sermon offers solid, biblical truth concerning them: God's dealings with them in creation and providence, their characteristics, and so much more!
Great Sermon! There is a great division in the world between the saved and the lost. In this sermon, Pastor Silversides exposes the irrationality of lost people who refuse to believe the Gospel. Christ came to save the lost, will you not set aside your irrational excuses for not believing on Him?
True Joy! "In thy presence is fulness of joy..." Psalm 16:11 Unbelievers may have their joys, but they are of a temporary, finite nature. True joy is the fruit of the Holy Spirit's work in the heart of the Christian as he rests his faith upon God and His word, finding his delight in God's works of creation and providence, His salvation, His people, and most of all in God Himself, the "exceeding joy"(Psalm 43:4)of the believer!
Great Sermon! We are often sluggish in our prayers, yet God gives us many promises and much encouragement concerning prayer. He has promised to give us all that is truly good for us, if only we will ask in humble dependence upon him
Great Sermon! It is rather frustrating when people openly showcase their prestige. However, those who value prestige, fear losing it through suffering agony. We know that agony is the greatest fear of the prestigious.
We must not forget the following quote from the Heroic Protestant Reformer John Calvin and his pearls of wisdom.
You must submit to supreme suffering in order to discover the completion of joy. -John Calvin
Heart-Probing Sermon! A heart-probing sermon concerning the topic of legalism: what it isn't, what it is, how to avoid it, and how to examine oneself when accused of it.
Great Sermon! God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Ghost: each plays a role in the salvation of sinners. If God were not a trinity, as the various cults claim, then sinners could never be saved. Listen to this sermon to be well-instructed in this foundational Christian doctrine!
Great Sermon! "Where there is true repentance there is a true desire to depart from sin." Pastor Silversides's sermon explains what it means to pray "Lead us not into temptation; but deliver us from evil." (Luke 11:4)
Great Sermon! This is an excellent and edifying sermon from Romans chapter 7. The Apostle Paul provides the Christian an insight into the ongoing conflict between his desire to obey the Law of God and the presence of sin in his heart and life. This conflict involves more than a pang of conscience over sin; it is a mortal struggle between the Spirit of God dwelling in us, and the remnants of our corrupt, sinful nature. If you, as a Christian, are experiencing this conflict then take heart! It is a sign of spiritual life within you. It can be an intense, life-long struggle, one that you feel as if you are losing, but be encouraged! Final victory is assured!
Faithful Preaching! Does God judge nations? Yes, He does. But, "If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land." (II Chronicles 7:14)
Great Sermon! Forgiveness is a much neglected truth for Christians! We need to learn again that forgiveness begins with God forgiving our sins through Christ, which then enables us to forgive others. Our pride and wrong sense of self worth often warp our view of forgiveness and we need this gentle reminder of what it actually means to forgive.
